if it is the light you need someone with the VAGCOM software to do it
if it is just the service indicator (spanner shown in the milometer display of the speedo) the procedure is described in the owners manual

If Its the spanner you want rid of here is the procedure i used on my 05 tolly

Ignition off ....... press the distance reset knob.......then turn the ignition on........release the knob and turn it to the right and hold it for 2-3 seconds .........the display should reset by then ......turn ignition off.
Next time you start up the service interval display should be gone.
Good Luck

Just followed the instructions. Works a treat.Very impressed mate. On another note, has anyone had problems with outside temp readings on dashboard? Yesterday we were lucky enough to have outside temp around 20 Degrees ish, inside the car the dashboard outside temp read minus 9.5 degrees !!!!!!! Thought i was back in Canada!!!! Also a strange ticking noise inside the car around the passenger footwell area? Seems very strange. Any info greatfully received. Cheers.
