Good day all
Sept 06 (56) Tinta Black 2.0TDi Stylance 140 with Tunit VPD unit fitted. (Checked at 178bhp on No 6 setting.)
Car standard apart from an additional oil change at 17k. Used Fuchs Titan Super Syn plus 5W-40 which more than meets the specs as set by VAG. (I believe the engines are supplied with this oil and changed by the stealers, who tend to use the Quantum equivalent)
Rgds
:)

Car before this was a Volvo V40 T4 with Upsolute chip giving 240bhp. Altea not the same drive but just as much fun!!!!

Dunno if I'm allowed on here but I'll post anyway

Just got an altea XL which has replaced my trusty 53 TDi 130 Leon

57 plate 2.0 TDi 140BHP
Stylance trim
Black magic paint

Modifications/ Extras so far
Fitted latex mats from a new importer I found on ebay who is just round the corner
(NB the XL has the same floorpan as the Golf plus so if you're trying to find mats to fit . . )
Thats it so far (but a chip may well be in the offing later on this year)

What a cracking real world car -had it 2 months now and loving every minute of driving it
Only got 2 niggles
1. the line left by the wipers on the drivers side of the screen
2. the [email protected] automatic interior mirror that dims from normal to normal but with a very slight hint of green
(still, a manual one is only £18 so that will be the first thing to do)

Bit of a late starter on the forum but:
Bought a new Altea XL back in September 07 on a 57 plate
Emocion Red
1.9 TDi 105PS Stylance
Dual Zone climate
17" Avigator Alloys
Parking Sensors
Auto Lights
Folding Heated Mirrors
Auto Wipers

So far pretty pleased, loads of space sharp handling but you've got to work the engine hard to go quickly. Hence I don't! Averaged 40-41mpg over 4k miles which is OK, but not great.

Just bought myself a 56 reg 1.9TDI Stylance, my first ever diesel!!

Bit of a change from my previous car (330i Sport), have only driven it back from the dealer and then to work this morning, am liking it so far although I'm not getting particularly great economy (45 mpg when crusing at 70 mph on the M25). The salesman reckoned it'd do 62 mpg on the motorway (which I knew straight away was total BS but had hoped for something over 50!).

Bad News:
On Thursday I am part ex'ing my '54 reg 1.6 Reference in Tinta Black.

Good News:
I'm part ex'ing it for an '07 1.9TDI Stylance in Black Magic Metallic.

Altea: The only car I have ever liked enough to buy a second one.

Picked up a Seat ALTEA XL with the new 1.4L 92kW (125PS) TSI motor last week. :D
Interested to hear from others with the new motor re. 'hole' in acceleration in 1st :( , real-world fuel economy (~8 l/100km on A-bahn 140-160kmh trip back from Koln) :?
Just for info its an EU import Stylance model with 17" alloys 225/45 P7s (look great, but costly to replace!), tinted windows and thats about it. Cheers. WS.

Just bought brand new but pre-reg 57 plate.... (Bargain!)
Altea FR 2.0 TSi DSG Emoticon Red
All the usual top of range toys :p
Was going to change the wheels but have become attached to the standard - 'Alhioth' 17" ers.
Seriously considering an upgrade to the ICE tho... iPod plugged into AUX does for now but thinking Alpine IVA-W505R for the future... if I can persuade SWMBO
TomTom XL provides SatNav for now.
