One thing I really wanted to do this year for my birthday was to blast round Silverstone in a Lotus Elise. I really had my hopes up about doing this, mum had agreed to paying £150 for but then I read 'you have to have held a driving licence for at least 1 year and be 6'3 Max'...held my licence for 9 1/2 months come my birthday and also I'm 6'3 now.

I would think 'oh theres next year' but as I'm growing, whats there to say I won't be 6'4 when they reopen?

DAMMIT!!!

I think I'll swap this treat for a personal plate instead, will cost another £100 but nevermind :D

I think the height rule is just for the elise...(in case it rolls over)

why not check out http://www.udrivecars.com

Option of Evo 7 RS Sprint or WRX STI Type UK... think you can fit in them! The Evo has been modded to 320bhp!

Mate paid £175 last time out...and had a wicked time.

I'm gonna have a go soon too...but probably next year now. :(

Don't get down on it mate....lots of other motors that you can thrash round tracks! :)

I'll let you have a burger at trax mate! ;)

Yeah Lee might let you thrash his and then it will have been thrashed for the first time.

Anyway dont get too down Tom, plenty of other cars to rag the A** off and have a good time!

Maybe we could arrange a day at a Rally School or summat?

if you thinking of going on a rally course i recomend "phil price rally school"

http://www.philprice.co.uk

I went on it. its fantastic. I took the day course option but they do group day events aswell which would work out for us.
the best thing is that at the end of the day you get to drive a group A, Escort cosworth :D which was amazing.
he is Situated in the welsh borders close to Knighton in powys,

Tom,

Brands Hatch have the same conditions ......but I still did the driving day for my 18th birthday :g I'd only held my license for 10 months, but Im a tad shorter than u, 6"1/6"2.

Was a wikkid day out though, BMWs and Formula 1st.

On the Silverstone note, my dad did the full on driving day there a couple of years ago and loved it! Company paid of course LOL ....the :swear: !!! He drove 106 GTi, Single seaters, went on the skid pan ...cant remember wot else. (he needs a bit of speed in his old age :))

I say we all try and arrange a big Go-Karting thing at Bucksmore Park or wotever it's called there ;) Have a site shoot out. Who's got da pics of Brighton go-karting? :D

Big go karting thing? WHAT HAVE I BEEN TRYING TO ARRANGE? Trying to arrange something around Northants and Milton Keynes so that it's central to the UK!

I'm not a rally person myself, would rather feel the speed round a track over feeling the bumps as I fall off a cliff!
