i have just found out that they are not illegal , as long as your car after the cat is removed is passes the emissions test after . but when i took it off my old car the lamber sensor went and apparenty this is a common thing , so will this happen on my car and will it mess up anything else and will i get any performance , please can you give me some advice

On the later ibiza's you can't De-cat them.

There is a second lambda sensor after the cat to tell the ecu if its working or not.

If you take it off you will bring on the engine management light.
