alright im mike
anyway im off to look at a mk2 ibiza 1.4 se r reg 35k on the clock and i was wondering what to look out for what should i check any handy tips etc etc oh its up for £750 is that an alright price ?

oh yes what mpg do you get out of these as its main use is just 15 miles each way to work and back i have another car for fun

Errr...check for rust on the rear arches, in the door sills and around the boot when its open.

Check the engine for any excessively oily bits, check the coolant is clear and not fouled with oil, check the inside of the oil filler cap for a mayonasie type substance.

Make sure the suspension and steering don't clonk or groan etc.

Other than that, it looks like a pretty decent price.
I got £800 trade in for my old R reg SXE with 77k on it back in July 2006.
And it was pretty knackered too.

I did 40miles a day to work and back without complaint for a nearly a year.
Used to get between 300-400 miles per tank.

Also have a look out for service history etc etc. Just all the usual stuff that u shud really look for and check!!
