Hello,

My cars due for its 40,000 service and the AirCon also needs a full service including my brake fluid change. How much approx do you think this will set me back from the stealers?

Thanks

don't be scared , give the dealer a ring , thats the only way you will get to know exactly how much the service etc will cost ,get them to break down the cost of what you want doing , then if you think thats too much , ring another dealer or independant VAG specialist and see how much they will charge

Skoda prices for the Fabia can vary between £170-£240 for a similar service , £35-£45 for the BFC , Aircon regas/service should be less than £90 , aircon service maybe cheaper from a specialist , so depending on the labour rate and how much they mark up the oil price , you could expect similar servicing costs

Hi Stu,
I've just had a 40,000 service, brake fluid change and MOT from my dealer (Humphris Oxford) and it came to £400 including a hire car. That sounds steep I know, but my local dealer (Newbury) wanted nearer £600.

The breakdown was: 40,000 service £300, brake fluid change £48, MOT £52

Hope this helps.

Called up the two and were both nearly exactly the same price!

Very similar to yours ror100...

Air Con Service: £88
Actual Service: £302
MOT: £50.35

So all together £440.35, bit chunk out of my wallet :( Cant drive it aswell because i only have another 200 miles until I'm 2000miles over the service interval hence then no warranty and its booked in on the 10th of May.

One thing, does that include extras like Fluids/Oil etc?

The price for the service is all inclusive, not sure on the air-con service as haven't needed it done. The only price I found to vary was the brake fluid change, a few dealers wanted £35, some £50.

If you are 1800 miles over the service mileage, why have you left it so long to get it booked in? Seems a little strange to be driving around knowing you have a problem with air-con, and in need of a service.
