techy guys at the ready....

Do SEATs use the LIN bus?

I know Audi and VW were at the forefront of its use and am wondering if SEATs use it.

Its a communications bus for electrical systems in cars (Local Interconnect Network), it only uses 1 wire to communicate.

I've been tasked with implimenting it with our PSoC micro controller and was wondering if I will be able to play with it on my car....

The CAN bus is different and a lot more involved.

The LIN bus is designed to work along side the CAN bus to do simple things (control door loocks and stuff like that).

It saves a lot of money as the LIN control points are a lot cheaper.

(I've been reading about it all morning :( )
