i got a 1.4 mk4 ibiza and i notice that when in 1st gear pulling away there is a drop in power (i hit a flat spot)....this is just the engine & how the ecu is setup though..nothing to worry about i dont think.

Can you specify at what revs all this happens? and how long for?

From what I have read on this forum...this is how the 1.2 engine is.

For peace of mind you can check with your dealers, they will probably ask you to bring it in. There is the possibility that your ECU is returning fault codes. Probably the first thing the dealer will test for.

Thanks for the ideas, I think my best option is to take it to a deal, it's looking like it's beyond me or my local garage.

best option mate....by the way on here we refer to the dealers as stealers
