chipped and remapped??? you mean just the one...anyway

really yes you would need a remap to take full advantage of the intercooler however you will still notice gains without it

Hi all,

Will any work have to be done to the car if i put a front mouth intercooler on my cupra ? Car has been chipped and remapped.

Thanks
Neil
I hope you put a front MOUNT on lol and not a MOUTH :laugh8kb:

As Dave has said you will need to go back to the place where you had the re-map done and they will have to give you a stage 2 or a phase 2 and you might need to uprate some other things

depends what map really from experience

ecu can adapt itself, there isnt really much benefit to be had from additional mapping because of lower intake temps

the lower intake temps alone will be the difference

usually you find that a remapped car is being held back due to lack of an fmic. so when the fmic is fitted, it doesnt necessarily add output, but more release the full potential of the remap.

like simon says, might be worth getting additional components before having the map adjusted

Aye a big misconception that a FMIC adds power .. nope just means it can handle the temps better and not die as quick lol
