The main grille just comes out if you undo a couple of screws. Maybe doing that allows the side ones to come out easier? Not sure as I haven't done it myself, but I know the centre one just unscrews.

 

Hmmm maybe I should go out and have another nosey. Maybe I just need to lift the grill up and it comes out? rather than try and detatch it from the plastic bit it's attatched to the at the top.

If no one else comes up with any suggestions by this evening, I'll have a look on mine for ya to see if I can see anything obvious. I'd imagine it shouldn't be much more than unscrewing the centre grille, removing it, then popping the side ones out.

 

I just managed to do it, just had to be a little bit rough with it and get my hands right in to get all the clips out. I didn't take out the centre section and still don't rly know how you would, but I managed anyway

Has made me realise how much stuff I want to do to my car tho...

 

It's a shame I didn't notice this thread earlier as I have removed the centre grill on my Mk4 Ibiza. Anyway, if you're still interested to know, it's fixed on it's top edge by two plastic rawl plug like things.

There is a pin down the middle of each plug that when inserted splays out the body of the plug to hold it tight in place.

To remove a plug you need to get a trim removal tool or similar implement around the top of the central pin and prise it up almost out of the plug, then simply pull the two plugs out of the grill. This will no doubt make more sense when you're actually looking at the vehicle with the bonnet up.

The grill then pulls up and forward to come away from the car. There are two locating prongs on the bottom edge of the grill and two clips on both the left and right sides.

 

Yeh that's what I was trying to explain, they aren't screws so I was a bit reluctant to try and take them out incase they didn't go back on again. I managed fine anyway, altho there was a little clip broken off the grill when I got it, it still looks fine anyway.

 

seeing this, does anyone now how to remove the main grill front the front bumper, i had a look earlier and saw 2 screws connecting it in but that doesnt seem to free it does any have any ideas, mine has been broken and im looking to replace it but stealers want 40 quid
