Hello All,

I have recently noticed a few niggly little things when the engine is idling.

Firstly, all you can hear from the engine is a regular clunking noise.

The second thing is the with both the clutch up and down (until you rev to above 1K) the entire body of the car shakes, i personally find it noticeable, and so have a few passengers in the car.

The engine seems to be ticking over at betwenn 600-700 Rpm.

Im wondering if this is too low for the 1.4 engine? or if this is just another niggly problem with all seat's?

And if i take it back to seat, will they increase the tickover, or just laugh at me?

Thankyou for any advice

My MK2 1.4 ticked over at 760ish once warm and so does my MK4 1.2. Personally, if my car was idling at 600-700 I'd be taking it to the dealer. I'm sure someone with a 1.4 will know better...
