So, having got 2 more dogs than I anticipated I bought one of the very, very last S6 Avants. 230Bhp, 6 Speed, 2.2, 5 cyl, 20VT - the right blue inside and out - should have been NICE. OK, OK it is 'Quattro' and a heavy estate BUT it has been chipped (details unknown). Trouble is it just seems slow to me.
What does slow mean? Hard to say but our Leon Cupra feels fast (0-60 in 7.7) and my last car a BMW 328 (0-60 in 7.3) felt fast but my S6 (0-60 in 6.7) feels b....dy slow!! AArgh!
And I know 4WD gives good 0-60 times and saps performance but I drove a 150 Bhp diesel A6 the other day and mid range it would probably keep up.:a And I know 0-60s don't tell half the story but it is all I can compare with.
Got any ideas anyone? Maybe I should try a rolling road (where is the nearest one to Gloucester? Birminham?) Maybe I should add £5k (that I hav'nt got) and get a high milage BMW 540 Touring - If that sounds like sacrilage, give me a better idea.
Duncan and Lela (Mainly Duncan!!!!!)
