No idea about the paint, I saw some down halfords that might be of use. I would think if anything went wrong with your brakes and you painted it yourself that they'd wag the finger and say no you're ****ed.

The only way I can think of definately keeping your warranty would be getting the Seat Sport AP racing calipers that are on the Cupra and getting Seat to fit them, which would cost stupid money...

the brakes on the LCR are Brembo's so will come Red standard. If you wanna paint your calipers red, just get some Hammerite paint - in the colour that you want. It's high temp stuff so will stand the brake conditions fine. Just take the wheel off, and paint it on as normal!

I can't imagine this would invalidate your warranty, unless you go and spray the disc or something !

Just paint the metal bits, if you get stuck - take the wheel off and give everything a damn good clean with wire wool, you'll soon see what needs painting and what shouldn't be!

Hammerite paint is about....£5?? easy!

It's actually dead easy, I did it to my car before uprating the fronts to Brembos and 325mm discs. It IS a Scoob though;)

I used Hammerite red, two coats, it takes about an hour to do two coats each side, but the stuff dries quickly.Give the calipers a clean with a wire brush first.

Avoid paint on the discs and the flexible brake lines. Also on the bleed nipples. Mine were done with a mediom sized child's paintbrush and take your time.

Oh, and if you use Hammerite, you'll need a tin of Hammerite thinners for the brush, as nowt else shifts it!

I used Hammerite on my old FTO, girlfriends Lupo sport and my sisters MX5 & Cinq, Simple to do and prolongs the life of the caliper if anything as it keeps the rust at bay. put some pics up when you have finished. (It's worth painting the black just to have them looking cleaner and keeping the rust away ... but red is nicer).

Although I painted the misis Lupo green as it's a Green Lupo and she wanted the Skoda Fabia vRS looking calipers?! :p:

Looking at the pics of peoples cars on here i have noticed lots of you guys have red front brake calipers which i think looks really cool. I would really like mine red but don't know where to start! What sort of paint would i need? Which bits do i avoid painting? And the old question... will it invalidate my warrenty  Even better, can i buy any that are already red?
About your red calipers mate sorry it was a while ago but you can buy special caliper paint from halfords and demon tweeks and potn etc. They come in about 6 diff colours - red, yellow, green, blue, orange and another that i cant remember. Its good stuff.

Hope it helps
